There’s little chance of birding or ringing until next week as an Atlantic storm heads this way towards us for the weekend. Friday looked a possibility but Sue and I have to go for our flu jabs at precisely 1012 on Friday morning.
Instead and for this post I’m raiding the archives for pictures from Skiathos, Greece, this year and past years. Birds, landscapes, people.
Enjoy and come back soon. Don’t forget to “click the pic” for best effect.

Back soon. Don't go away.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteSorry the weather is not cooperating with your banding times. Love the photos from Greece. It is a beautiful place and the birds look lovely.
Great collection of photos. Take care, enjoy your day!
They aren't even my memories but I love "recalling" each one!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed the storm will leave you alone, and perhaps blow in a rarity or two.
Your photo of the souvlaki has me heading for the back yard to burn something for dinner.
Gini and I wishing you all the best.
You are certainly a good advert for Skiathos. Fabulous photos and pretty much a bit of everything to see and do.
ReplyDeleteHope you can soon get out and do some ringing.
Take care and stay safe Diane

Phil - we have gone into the deep freeze here in Montana, so your lovely captures of the character and fauna of Skiathos is a balm. Sign me up for an island holiday!

ReplyDeleteWhat incredible, fun scenes. So exotic and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA visit to Greece has long been on my bucket list. Looks like the pandemic is hellbent on disrupting my plans. The hubs and I have waited all our lives to put our travel dreams into action when he retired and now covid-19 strikes! Hope this nightmare will end soon as we are not getting any younger!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these fabulous photos!

ReplyDeleteMy dear friend Phil! I am so so so happy to see you back and you brought us all beautiful gifts of photographs from your trip! Oh Greece! I've always wanted to see Greece but it was so far from my last itinerary on my first trip to Europe so I guess I have to do a trip specifically for it. Love that you got to see more birds on the islands but the food Phil, those made me so hungry!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for you sharing this to Timeless Thursdays Phil! Please be back soon :)
