65 mph winds today but not as bad as Scotland with a rumoured 100mph. I found myself fooling around with FotoSketcher, a free software program that converts photographs to artwork. Some of the results are below.
It’s worth a try if your skill with pen and ink or a brush is as bad as mine.
You can add a picture frame, alter the paper texture, or do black & white.
Looks like the wind may drop slightly tomorrow.
Hey Phil...nothing is free ...don't you know that by now ; }
ReplyDeleteSo while the winds at play Phil is fooling around Huh!!
That is pretty cool stuff very convincing...I wonder how many people have been fooled thinking they had a free hand drawing????? Or should I say how many peoples cover could be blown lol!
Hope your wind dies down...it is blowing a good clip here to and yesterday an last night it poured rain like it never rained before...at least I didn't have to shovel it!!
Your slacking off buddy
Grace
That is some high winds for you all over across the great pond...stay safe~
ReplyDeleteWow, what great fun you had with this new application, and the results are outstanding...hmmm I want to give that a try to sometime.
They are all very good, yet the Kingfisher...he really looks swell, that is really incredible~
Very nice artwork, Phil. I wasted too much time when I was younger learning to draw. I'm so sick of winter already, I hope new software comes out soon that will go out birding for me. Probably do a better job too.
ReplyDeleteAmazing what you can do on the computer these days. Your photos are great and your creations with them are works of art, both fit for a frame and a place on the wall.
ReplyDeleteThose look pretty good, I'll check the software out (hope it isn't Windows only).......
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done. Your photos to begin with are wonderful too - I think that must make a huge difference.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of the birds!
ReplyDeleteI like the kingfisher sketch the most. I think it's the most realistic 'drawing'.
My husband just bought me a program that does this but I haven't played with it much. Fun concept.
I very much like your photo sketches!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I love being able to be artistic with my photos, I am totally unartistic with pen or brush!
ReplyDeleteMy CC
I trust these birds found a safe place to hide from the wind.
ReplyDeleteVery nice experimenting.
Nice results! You have some great original shots to start with.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous birds!
ReplyDeletePlease come see my critter shots. Have a good weekend!
Wow, I hope everyone and the birds were safe from the high winds. Cool art work. Have a wonderful weekend!
