The Barn Owl...they always make me happy. I had word twice in recent times of a sighting of one about 15 miles from here, about where I thought that I saw one at dawn a year ago, but then they both turned out to be one of my favorite Barred Owls from what others later told me. Have a wonderful birding week and take good care~Mary Howell Cromerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05473298562829352582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4526180646938954660.post-39999347925562791682017-03-28T12:47:03.361+01:002017-03-28T12:47:03.361+01:00Great photos - love that barn owl!! : ) Great photos - love that barn owl!! : ) Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02800429680053071087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4526180646938954660.post-65641001341641873842017-03-28T12:42:42.067+01:002017-03-28T12:42:42.067+01:00Wonderful shots. Something chic to make you appealing at the banding station. Barn Owls are magnificent creatures to be sure and it is sobering to think of the daily obstacles they face. Your weather must be better than ours then, as here it is horrendous. It hailed so heavily and thickly yesterday afternoon that the evidence was still apparent on our white covered lawn this morning. I was surprised to read that collision with vehicles is the leading cause of Owl fatalities. I would have thought their acute auditory capabilities would have alerted them to this danger. These beautiful birds really do have a tough life.Breathtakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03883608347810648676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4526180646938954660.post-18468961141914033152017-03-25T20:46:51.917+00:002017-03-25T20:46:51.917+00:00A beautiful and captivating series, Phil!
